Welcome to The Arteco Gallery
An intimate space for exceptional art,
the Arteco Gallery is located on the first floor of a recently restored brick building in Cumberland's Historic Downtown. Just steps from the Great Allegheny Passage, the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, the C&O Canal, museums, shops, galleries, and restaurants, Arteco is one of the town's newest cultural attractions.
The Arteco Gallery, with its large light-filled windows, high ceilings and hardwood maple floors, will introduce you to a new world of painters, sculptors, printmakers, photographers, metal and collage artists from as near as Baltimore and Washington DC, and as far as Nigeria, New Mexico, New Delhi or the Netherlands. At the Arteco Gallery you are likely to find ancient hand-carved wood shutters from Timbuktu side by side with contemporary wood mosaics from Cumberland's South End; weavings from the Andes and embroidery from the Amazon next to patchwork quilts from Appalachia.
Predictable only in its unpredictability, the Arteco Gallery is well worth a detour!
