Achieving flow, energy, and form through transforming metal is integral to my art. My sculptures encompass forged metal as well as "found objects". I particularly enjoy the excitement of working with the metal, letting it speak to me and work with me in this energetic process. I find that through studying the unique shapes, forms, and texture found in nature often my choices when creating sculpture are guided by these observations. Applying traditional blacksmithing techniques of forging to contemporary design is an exciting challenge and consistent in my work. |
