Why Become an Arteco Artist?

Although the Arteco Gallery is not a "big city" art venue, it affords its artists many benefits.
Every Arteco artist will be offered at least one opportunity for a solo show during a three year period.
Every Arteco artist will be invited to participate in at least two juried shows during a three year period.
The Arteco Gallery sponsors an opening reception for every exhibition.

For every exhibition in which an Arteco artist participates, the Arteco Gallery will assume responsibility for:

  1. a professionally designed and printed poster announcing the exhibition and artist reception posted in at least 16 local hotels, B&Bs, shops, restaurants, art galleries, downtown kiosks and other tourist venues;
  2. a professionally designed and printed postcard announcing the exhibition and artist reception
  3. an e-vite to the artist reception
  4. advertisement in Maryland Life magazine
  5. advertisement in the Allegany County Getaway Guide 2008-2009.
  6. announcement of the exhibition in the (i) bimonthly Allegany Arts Council Newsletter; (ii) weekly Allegany Arts Council e-letter "ArtFlash"; (iii) events section of Western Maryland Tourism's website www.mdmountainside.com
  7. article and/or critical review of the exhibition published in the Cumberland Times-News and the Arteco Gallery website www.artecogallery.com

In addition, the Arteco Gallery is prepared to maintain an "Artist's Page" on www.artecogallery.com for every artist it represents. This page includes a photo of the artist, an artist statement, and images for up to five pieces of artwork.
